• Suggested applications: Sleeves: used for creating eye termination on cable or wire rope. When properly applied, sleeves are capable of holding the rated breaking strength of the cable to which they are applied. Use only crimping tool to attach a sleeve. Never use a hammer or pliers. Stops: placed along a wire rope to stop the wire rope from sliding past a certain point. When properly applied, button stops are capable of holding one third the rated breaking strength of the cable to which they are applied. Never use pliers, crimpers or a hammer to compress button stops. Thimbles: used to strengthen a wire rope eye and protect wire rope from abrasion
