SEASONAL SALES ASSOCIATE (Greenhouse)
Bomgaars is seeking a motivated, customer service oriented individual to work peak gardening seasons in the Greenhouse. Individual will also Cashier in the Greenhouse. Position requires flexibility in shifts for watering sessions - days, evenings, and weekends.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Agriculture background
- Product knowledge - plants, shrubs, and vegetables
- Willing to work outside for extended time periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50+ lbs on a reqular basis
- Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Must be available to work flexible schedules - days, evenings, weekends (shift premium paid for working weekends)
Responsibilities:
- Freight handling/Merchandising indoors and outdoors/Signage with plant information
- Maintain the nursery area (varying weather conditions)
- Basic gardening tasks (watering, weeding, fertilizing and repotting as needed)
- Stocking with new plants/rotating inventory/checking for damaged or unhealthy plants
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately (cash, correct change, debit/credit cards, and checks)
- Assisting customers with product selection and loadouts
- Handling phone calls
*Pre-employment drug screen required
Starting wage range is $12.50 per hour
