SEASONAL CASHIERS (Plants/Nursery)

Bomgaars is seeking friendly, outgoing individuals with Cashier experience to work peak gardening seasons in the Plants/Nursery department. Position requires working inside and outside to help maintain the Nursery area.

Qualifications:
-  Cashier and retail experience preferred
-  Ability to multi-task
-  Detail oriented
-  Clear and concise communication skills
-  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
-  Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
-  Must be available to work flexible schedules - days, evenings, weekends (shift premium paid for working weekends)

Responsibilities:
-  Greet and welcome customers
-  Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately (cash, correct change, credit/debit cards, and checks)
-  Scan and bag items for customers
-  Basic gardening tasks (watering, weeding, fertilizing, and repotting as needed)
-  Maintain the Nursery area (varying weather conditions)
-  Promote store loyalty programs/special promotions/coupon redemption
-  Handling phone calls
-  Assist customer with product selection and load outs.

Starting Wage: $12.50 per hour
