FULL-TIME DEPARTMENT LEAD (Nursery/Plants)
Bomgaars is seeking a motivated, responsible individual with greenhouse or garden center experience to fill a Department Lead position. The individual will oversee the operations of the Nursery/Plants department while providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Greenhouse, Gardent Center and Plant knowledge/experience
- Willing to work outside for extended periods of time
- Administrative skills to handle paperwork and record keeping
- Strong attention to detail/organizational skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50+ lbs on a regular basis with bending and squatting
- Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Must be available to work flexible schedules for plant care - days, evenings, weekends (shift premium paid for working weekends)
Responsibilities:
- Freight handling/Merchandising indoors and outdoors/Signage with plant information
- Maintain the nursery area (varying weather conditions)
- Basic gardening tasks (watering, weeding, fertilizing, and repotting as needed)
- Receiving and stocking new plants/Rotating inventory/Checking for damaged or unhealthy plants
- Sales/Cashier
- Assisting customers with product selection and load outs
- Handling phone calls
*Pre-employment drug screen required
Starting wage is $16.00 per hour with a comprehensive Benefit package.
