Bomgaars is seeking a skilled IT Specialist to join our dynamic retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the technology infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations of all IT systems, and providing technical support to staff and customers. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a retail environment.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Proficiency in network management, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience with POS systems and retail software applications.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Ability to perform hardware diagnostics and repairs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high quality support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

On-Call Support:  Must be available for on-call support outside of regular business hours to address urgent technical issues and ensure continuous operation of IT systems.
